Corporate Giving

Greektown Casino provides significant philanthropic support to community-based charities and nonprofit organizations. Our support may come in the form of a financial donation, merchandise (such as items for raffles, auctions or prizes), or Team Member volunteers. Like most major corporate citizens, we base our decisions on budget and policy criteria. If you believe that your nonprofit organization, event, program, or service may meet our criteria, please send a written request for support to:

Important Notes

Greektown Casino will only consider requests submitted in writing.
Must provide Federal tax identification number with written request for consideration.
If your request is time sensitive, we must receive your written request at least two months before the date of the event, program, or activity for which you are seeking our support.

Policy & Criteria
Priority is given to requests from charities/nonprofit organizations:

Located in the City of Detroit or whose activities or services significantly benefit Detroit residents
For which Greektown Casino's support would produce extraordinary benefits and improvements for the recipient organization
Important to Greektown Casino's efficient and successful operations.

An internal committee at Greektown Casino reviews and decides on requests for philanthropic support. Depending on circumstances, the committee's decision on your request will be communicated to you in writing or by telephone. In your written request to Greektown Casino, your organization should demonstrate that:

the vast majority of your funds go to programs or services,
the organization is physically located in Detroit
and/or your activities or services significantly benefit residents of the City of Detroit.
